NGARUAWAHIA NOTES
SUCCESSFUL DANCE CITIZENS’ QUEEN A successful and enjoyable dance was held in the Town Hall, Ngaruawahia, recently, the proceeds being to augment the funds of the Citizens’ Queen, Miss Margaret Gcrring. The hall was attractively arranged with streamers and festoons of blue and gold, the Queen’s colours, and the stage was banked with masses of pussy willow and bowls of spring flowers. Multi-coloured balloons hung from overhead. Music was supplied by Jess Allan’s Orchestra, and Mr J. Kerr was master of ceremonies. A novelty snowball dance was much enjoyed, the winner being Mr E. Stow and partner. The prize for flic first couple on the floor was won by Mrs I. Fairey and Mr Bromwich. Among those present were* — Mesdames A. Kerr, wearing handpainted satin with net overdress; J.
