Tbe first two rounds of the championships will be played on Tuesday, September 19. TE AROHA CLUB SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (Special to Times) TE AROHA, Thursday. Following are the results of the second round or the Tc Aroha Goir Club’s senior clwunjbonsnip:—Wiggins beat Kenny, 5 and 4; Leftch beat Gardiner, 4 and 3; Mathers beat Findlay, 3 and 2. In the intermediate section Wilcox beat Richards, 3 and l; Coffey beat Phillips, 9 and 1; Curran beat Wykcs, 2 up. In the final of the Duff Cup competition, Mathers won a keenly fought game by 3 up and 2 to play rrom Clay. The final of the four-ball handicap was played between Clay and Potter and Gardiner and Robertson, the former pair winning by 2 and 1. A Stableford bogey scramble was won by Gardiner, McLeod and Fryer each with 35 points. In a similar contest dale, Clay, Bliss and Leltch tied with the good score of 36 points. They were closely Tallowed Nicoll, Somers and Kenny with 35 point*. OTOROHANGA CLUB RESULTS OF COMPETITIONS (Special to Times) OTOROA.NGA, Thursday. Results or games played on the Otorohanga golf links are as follow’s:— Stableford Bogey.—B. Clausen, with 36 points. Match Play.—senior championship: W. Rust defeated E. Taylor; junior championship, 11. Rhodes defeated A. N. Ornisby. Handicap Reduction.—B. Clausen, 17—3 —l4. Women's Matches.:—Miss A. Cumpstone won the medal, 102—35—67; Mrs H. Miller (15) defeated Mrs Costley (33), 4-3, in the final of the Match Play Cup. In the junior championships Miss B. Matthews beat Mrs Costley; Mrs Gilmore beat Mrs Morley; Mrs Mexted beat Mrs Hunter.
