Copyright) SYDNEY, Sept. 13 Two Epsom Handicap candidates, Te Hero and Denita, finished first and third respectively in the first division of the Flying Welter Handicap at the Ascot Racing Club's meeting to-day. Te Hero, who recently was given barrier practice, jumped away well, to win in record time for the course, but it was not exactly Epsom time. Hughes) .. 2 DENITA, 8.12 (K. J. Cook) 3 Twelve started. Length, two lengths. Time, I.l4—course record. JUMPERS’ FLAT RACE First £BO, second £l3, third £5; 7 fur. SILVER COAT (New Zealandbred), ch g, aged, by Pink Coat —Silver Patch, 10.0 (B. H. Porter) 1 PADALE, 9.7 (J. Kennedy) .... 2 LINKLET, 9.7 (F. H. Hood) 3 Nine started. Two and a-half lengths. Time, 1.29$ —a race record.
