TENNIS SEASON
BPRINGDALE CLUB MEETS (Special to Times) WAITOA, Tuesday. The annual meeting- or the Springdale Tennis Club was held in the Springdale Hall recently. The president, Mr W. J. Nicholson, occupied the chair. The report and balance-sheet, which was adopted, showed a good credit balance. Mr Nicholson congratulated the club upon the very successful past season. Subscriptions were fixed at 12s 6d for seniors and 7 s Ad for juniors. The opening day was fixed Tor September 16. OlTlcers Tor the ensuing year were elected as follows:—Patrons, Messrs F. W. Walters and H. Bridge-man; president, Mr W. J. Nicholson; vice-presidents, Messrs H. Wells, H. WagstalT, E. Johansen. D. Johnson, A. Hunger, n. Galloway. C. R. Malcolm. L. Bailey, P. Keightley. A. Barnett. J. Keightley. A. East and F. Rae; secretary and treasurer. Mr C. C. White: auditor. Mr J. 0. Grant; club captain, Mr P. Malcolm: vice-captain, Mr G. Galloway; delegates to the Piako Association. Messrs c. <:. White and P. Malcolm; general committee. Misses E. Bigwood, V. Foster, g. Johnson. F. Roberts arid P. Bridgeman. Messrs J. G. Grant. K. Ryan. A. Shallard. C. East and A. Fielder.
