CELEBRATION DANCE
LIQUIDATION OF DEBT The Waihou Hall Society held a celebration dance following the liquidation of the debt on the building. There was a large attendance, ail parts of the district being represented. The drawing of the Hall Society’s art union was a feature of the evening. Mr W. C. Kennedy congratulated Mr D. Lewis and members of the society in clearing off a debt of £650 in two years. Supper was served by the women’s committee, assisted by willing helpers. Those in charge of the supper arrangements were Mesdames D. Lewis, E. Holmes, F. Miles, H. Da'ines. A novelty dance was won by Miss G. O’Grady and partner, with Mr and Mrs G. Dawson second. Among those present were:—Mesdames D. Borrie, M. Conning, W. F. Conning, W. Cornes, 11. Daines, C. A.
