FILM INDUSTRY
OFFER OF ASSISTANCE (By Telegraph.—special to Times) WELLINGTON, Tuesday The Film Industry Board of New Zealand has written to the Prime Minister offering its wholehearted assistance in the crisis. “If there is any service which may be regarded as useful, involvintg the use of films and the screens of our theatres, we wish to assure the Government that they are unreservedly at its disposal.*’ says the letter. “We recognise the heavy responsibility resting on the shoulders of the Government and desire to express our appreciation of what is being done and to assure you of our loyal and unswerving support.’’ The offer, for which the actingPrime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, has expressed the Government’s cordial thanks, is made on behalf of the Film Industry Board by Mr W. F. Stilwell, S.M., chairman, and Mr W. J. Fife, secretary.
