“ICE” JEWEL COMBINATIONS Highly polished platinum and pale aquamarines are a new “ice” jewel combination for warm weather wear. Round, emerald cut aquamarines of different sizes" and colours make a charming bracelet when set in an almost white platinum band two or three inches wide, states the London Daily Telegraph and Morning Post. A threequarter snap-on bracelet of frosted platinum has a large posy of aquamarines attached to each end. Clip-on .earrings of aquamarines, consisting of one square single stone in each ear, are most attractive set in thick frames of platinum. Tourmalines appear in much of the latest jewellery. They are sea-weed green in colour and look attractive cut in round or emerald shapes and set in bulky frames of platinum. Mixed with yellow diamonds or very pale sapphires, they make up into charming flower bouquets to be worn in the buttonhole or perched on the front veiling of a garden party liaL. Basket of Flowers 'One brooch is in the form of a basket o-f flowers, the basket of smooth platinum, almost white in colour, and the flowers a mixture of sapphires, tourmalines, and diamonds. The newest clip brooches have tiny motifs of precious stones, such as sapphires or aquamarines, fixed to a plain diamond foundation. Unc diamond bow clip has four little tassels or rubies and emeralds that can be worn two at a time on the clip. The other two tassels are worn as clip earrings or as ornaments in the hair. Some clips have two frames so that they can be fitted together in different ways to form separate designs. Bracelets are following the design of eternity rings. Plain, square-cut diamonds, smoothly set in a narrow hand of platinum, are worn round the wrist alternated with bracelets of rubies, emeralds, and sapphires of exactly the same width—the stones cut and set similarly to the diamonds. Six or seven of these, bracelets, worn on the same wrist like narrow bands of red. blue, and green ribbon, give a dazzling rainbow effect. Eternity rings to match are worn on the fingers in the same colour order.
