LAWN TENNIS
ELSTOW CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD (Special to Times) TE AROIIA, Monday. Mr 11. W. Blackford presided at the Elstow Tennis Club’s annual meeting. The balance-sheet showed the club’s finances to he in good order. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mrs F. W. Walters; president, Mr 11. W. Blackford; vice-presid-ents, Mrs Allen, Messrs W. Harvey, R. Horn, R. Chalton, L. Newman, E. Nlcol, H. Stenbridge, T. Qualtrough, A. Nicol anti Hair; secretary and treasurer, . Mr G. Johnson; committee, Miss P. Blackford. Mrs Chalton, Messrs R. Bell, M. Blackford and A. Dahh; captain, Mr R. Chalton; vicecaptain. Mr W. Harvey; delegates to Piako Tennis Association, Messrs Chalton and Harvey. An invitation to attend the Eastport Road Tennis Club’s opening day was accepted. The club derided to open the season on September 23.
