FENCOURT NEWS
SOCIAL EVENING A happy evening was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs Turnbull, Thornton Road, Fencourt, when they entertained the members of the llautapu junior football team in honour of their victory in the junior competitions. The evening was passed pleasantly in playing 500, and games and dancing interspersed with items given by Mesdames T. Bourke and Miss Doreen Wat tarn. Messrs T. lleillv, R. Wat tarn. Master D. Bourke and Mr Eric Wattam played the dance music. After supper was served Mr 11. Arnold, on behalf of the Hautapu team, presented Mr and Mrs Turnbull with a pvrex dish. Mr Turnbull returned thanks. Among those present were Mrs It. Wattam, Mr IJ. Arnold, Mrs T. Bourke, Mrs W. Y.
