VALEDICTORY EVENING
FACTORY MANAGER FAREWELLED Despite the inclement weather, there was a fair attendance of friends at the Rototuna Church Hall to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs H. J. Koller, who have resided in the district for 17 years, during which time Mr Koller has filled the position of manager of the casein factory. Mr A. H. Clement, convener of the factory committee, occupied the chair, and the following artists contributed to the programme :—Elooutionary items, Miss Shirley Burton; guitar and banjo-mandolin duets, Messrs Jack and Jim Ball; piano-accordion solos, Miss Tui Molesworth; piano-accordion and guitar duets, Miss Molesworth and Mr Jim Ball. Durbrf* the evening, Mr W. Y. Kirkman. factory superintendent, on behalf of the head office of the New Zealand Go-operative Dairy Company, spoke of the splendid manner in which Mr Koller had carried out his duties, and 1 lie Rev. G. E. Brown, on behalf of tlie church people, praised Mr and Mrs Roller's efforts in all church activities. Mr A. 11. Clement, in calling on Mr and Mrs Koller to accept a handsome pair of fireside etiairs, remarked on Ihe friendly relations maintained between the suppliers and the head office while Mr Koller was factory manager. The guests of the evening were then accorded musical honours, after which they both suitably returned thanks. Mrs Koller was wearing a niggerbrown pebble crepe frock with a cream satin faggoted collar and vest.
