VALEDICTORY AFTERNOON
FOR MR AND MRS E. J. O’REGAN The residents of Ngahinapouri gathered at the hall recently to farewell Mr and Mrs E. J. O’Regan, Senr., two well-known residents, prior to’ their departure to reside in Auckland. On arrival Mrs O’Regan was presented with a delightful posy of violets by little Mary McWhannell. The hall was artistically decorated with colourful spring blooms. Following the serving of afternoon tea Mr J. McWhannell presented the guests-of-honour with a travelling rug from their friends in the district, and expressed regret at their departure. .Mr O'Regan suitably responded.
