MATAMATA DANCE
OLD PUPILS’ ASSOCIATION A successful dance, organised by the Matamata Old Pupils’ Association was held in the Matamata Town Hall recently. Music was supplied by the Merrymakers’ Orchestra, and an extra by Miss June Murray, of Walton, was much appreciated. The hall had been artistically decorated in red and gold streamers, and sprays of greenery ornamented the walls. Among those present were :—Mesdames R. White, Kevin Fitzgerald, S. Anderson (Timaru), J. Simpson, K. Barnes (Tirau). Misses -Colleen Mclntyre, Hazel Latham, Eileen Casey, Betty Whitworth, May Lock (Walton), Eva Swinbourne, Evelyn Whitworth, Pat Simpson, Thelma Chilton, Nancy Duxfield, Molly- Cole, Joyce Bell, Winnie Stanley, Pat Paterson, Mona Watson, Phyl Dinsdale, T. Dobson, Vera Stanley, June Murray, Merle Hawke, Paddy Ryan, Gus McKean, Doreen Reynolds, Shirley Ryan.
