LARGE HOUSE DESTROYED
OCCUPANTS RECEIVE BURNS (Special to Times) WIHANGAREI, Sunday The large 12-roomed house of the A. C. Symes estate, five miles from Whangarei, was destroyed by fire on Saturday night. Mrs Symes and her two sons, the occupants, received burns in their efforts to fight the flames. These proved fruitless, the house being razed. The house and contents were insured, but for what amount is not known.
