TWO AIRMEN MISSING BOTH FROM TARANAKI FORMER TENNIS CHAMPION (By Telegraph.—Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sunday The parents of Pilot Officer Bruce Clifford-Jones, Mr and Mrs 11. C. Clift'ord-Jones, of New Plymouth, received a cablegram notifying them that their son was missing. Pilot-Officer Clifford-Jones was a Taranaki tennis champion and reached the semi-final of this year’s Royal Air Force tournament *at Wimbledon. PILOT-OFFICER C. N. WHITTINGTON (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sunday Another New Zealand member of the Royal Air Force, Pilot Officer 'Cedric Nicholas Whittington, younger son of a well-known Taranaki family, has been reported missing and is believed to be dead, according to cabled advice received in New Zealand. No further details were contained in the message.
