MANY APPLICATIONS
PERSONS LEAVING DOMINION EARLY ACTION REQUESTED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturdav The Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, announces that there has been an abnormally heavy pressure o-f work on the officers handling leave-permit applications. He impresses on persons whose business or private affairs make it necessary for them to leave New Zealand to make applications for permits as early ahead of the date of their intended departure as possible. Arrangements have been made for lodging applications with the Tourist Bureau in Auckland, the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages in Christchurch and Dunedin, and with the Collectors of Customs in other ports. Considerable assistance will result if applications are lodged at the nearest offices.
