NAIVE REQUEST
RESERVIST AND SPEED LIMIT A military reservist pleaded guilty in Wellington yesterday of exceeding the speed limit and was discharged on ■the understanding that he did not. offend again and on payment of costs. Before lie left the court, however, he saiil to the magistrate, “I have to be back at Fort Dorset at 10.30 am, Could Your Worship arrange for me to exceed the speed limit in order to get there on time?” To have made the journey in the time would have involved a speed of approximately 100 miles an hour.
