ASSESSMENT COURT
PIAKO COUNTY LAND VALUES SECOND DAY'S SITTING (Special to Time,.) MORRINSVILLE, Friday The Assessment Court held its second day sittings at Morrinsville, Mr A. A. McLachlan presiding. Mr W. A. Gordon, representing the Valuation Department, stated that several cases had been withdrawn. The two cases adjourned from last week were dealt, with. The objection of R. G. Griffin against, the valuation of 3 40 acres at Tauwliare was upheld. the valuations being reduced in capital valeu from £5040 to £4700, unimproved £IB2O to £I7OO, and improvemenls £3220 to £3OOO. In the case of C. G. Uauntlott the valuation was upheld. The appeal of B. J. Pirrit (Mr A. A. French) against the valuation of 286 acres at Kiwitahi on the unimproved value resulted in the court granting a small reduction. In the case of H. Y. Wells, 280 acres at Kiwitahi, a reduction of £2lO on the unimproved value was granted. C. B. Easter objected to the Government valuation on his property of 98 acres at Hungahunga. The case was adjourned at the request of Mr Gordon owing to the valuer not being in court. He had been called up for service in the Naval Reserve Air Force.
