PRICE INCREASES
ACTION BY MILLERS DEARER BREAKFAST FOODS (By Telegraph.—Press Associations WELLINGTON, Saturday Increases up to 30 per cent, in wholesale charges for rolled oats, oatmeal and Oatina have been notified to retail firms in Wellington by agents for milling companies in a circular dated June 1. The increases, therefore, do not come within the jurisdiction of the price investigation tribunal, which will have jurisdiction over prices in relation to the level running yesterday. A director of group stores said the increases were unavoidable, because he knew that milling companies had recently been losing money at the old prices.
