PROGRESSIVE 500
ENJOYABLE EVENING An enjoyable evening was spent at the residence of Mr and Mrs T. Macken, at Ukoroire, recently, when a number of friends gathered to bid farewell to Mr and Mrs U. .McGuire, who will leave the district shortly tu reside in Auckland. The rooms looked bright with attractively arranged bowls of Iceland poppies and tinted leaves, and the time was spent in playing progressive live lumdred, the winners being .Mrs L. Hancock and Mr A. Watson. During the evening the presentation of a reading-lamp was made to Mr and -Mrs McGuire on behalf of friends present, tlio guests of the evening betas later accorded musical honours. -Mrs T. Mackcn received the guests wearing a frock of black and white georgette. Mrs McGuire wore a luggage lau crepella frock. Those present were:—Mesdames L. Hancock, It. Schwarz, It. F. Schwarz A. Aroa, V. S. Tyrrell, A. Watson. -Misses Ruve Macken, Edna Tyrrell.
