F. Cassidy in Wellington

Frank Cassidy, the ex-Hamilton Marisfc and Waikato forward, who has been playing in Wellington for the past two seasons, has found his excellent form again, and on his match last Saturday for Hutt he played himself into line, for the Wellington representatives. Last season Cassidy did not show the dash that characterised his play while in Hamilton, but he certainly revealed excellent form against Marist. Fast on attack and fighting every inch of the way on defence, he opened the eyes of Wellington supporters. Over the past ten years Wellington have had only live AH Black forwards, and it is a rare occasion for them to see a man of All Black standard and capabilities in a club match.
