The Liege correspondent of the Daily Mail says: “Herr Hitler is disturbed by defects in the Siegfried Line, including broad cracks in the concrete pill-boxes, and poor concrete in the larger emplacements, which are still damp, as the result of the recent flood-s. “The forts near Saarbrucken, It is reported, would not be able to withstand bombardment. Herr Hitler has ordered immediate repairs and an investigation. “The trouble Is believed to be due to haste and to faulty concrete formulae, or possibly to sabotage.”
