ELSTOW TENNIS CLUB

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES At a dance promoted by the Elstow Tennis Club, trophies won during the season, were presented by Mr Blackford as follows: Women’s champion singles, Miss E. Blackford; men’s campion singles, F. Germann; women’s handicap singles, Miss D. Nicol; men's handicap singles, A. Dahb; women’s champion doubles, Miss D. Nicol and Miss P. Blackford; men’s champion doubles, McWilliams and A. Stewart; combined doubles, Mrs E. Nicol and A. Stewart. Miniatures were presented to the winners of last year’s singles, Miss E. Blackford and G. Nicol; handicap singles, Mrs Chalton and W. Martin. Mr IT. Horn, secretary of the Piako Tennis Association, presented a cup io F. Germann, winner of the men’s singles championship in the Piako tournament. Novelty dances.were won by Miss D. Nicol and Mr J. Spooner, and Mrs Davey and Mr Nicol. Honours in the card tournament went to Mrs Clements and Mr McCabe, with Mrs Nicol and Air Clements as runners-up. Mr Blackford and Mr Chalton acted as M's.C.
