PUBLIC ADDRESS

MODERNISING OF WINTER SHOW Thirty-three years young this year, the Waikato Winter Show provides much food for thought when one stops to consider the amazing development in organisation and method of presentation by the executive of this worldfamous institution. Were it not for the rapid progress made in science, the show would suffer the effects of growing pains through being unable to cope with the ever-increasing crowds which flock to Ward Street annually! Thus we And every square foot of the exhibition admirably brought under control per medium of the finest loud speaker system in the Dominion. This equipment which, by the way, is a permanent installation, is operated by Dixon’s Public Address System and the service it renders in providing entertainment and useful information for show patrons is the subject of eulogistic comment by visitors from all parts of the Dominion.

Dixon’s public address system which is heard at all the leading race meetings, regattas, athletic contests, carnivals, and important meetings, enjoys an unequalled reputation for clarity, dependability and efficient managerial service. One show patron remarked that Dixon’s System never failed to bring families together judging by the number of lost children restored to their parents after the “ 5.0.5.” had been broadcast.

A novel innovation at this year’s show is the amplification of Westminster Chimes, which gives the public the exact time every fifteen minutes. This ingenious feature, was specially designed by Mr Dixon and it is the first of its kind to be used at any function in New Zealand.

All inquiries regarding this perfect sound system should be addressed to Mr Ralph C. Dixon, 170 Grey Street, Hamilton. Telephone 2300. 137
