WOOL FOR UNIFORMS BIG ORDER BY BRITAIN NEW ZEALAND TO PARTICIPATE (independent Cable) LONDON, June 1 It was officially stated at Bradford to-day that the * British Government intends to buy 3,000,0001 b. of tops of 50's quality from the British Empire to expedite the manufacture of uniforms. This will be the first direct buying from partly-manufactured wool. The value of the deal Is nearly £230,000, so that the transaction jb substantial, but not sensational. The wool will come ellltflj from Melbourne and New Zealand cross breds, and the price will be in lin with the current season's ruodet values.
