PLATELAYER HURT
HEAD HIT ON SLEEPER ACCIDENT NEAR RUKUHIA - When a crowbar he was using to shift rails slipped and he fell forward on to a sleeper, Mr Percy John Anniss (38), a platelayer in the Railways Department, was injured near the Rukuhia station this morning. Mr Anniss, who is a married man living at 4 Blackburn Street, Franklon, was removed to tiie Waikato Hospital suffering from a severe gash across the top of his head.
