GUNGA KHAN

NOTE THE NAME—BEWARE OF IMITATORS Right opposite the w Dodg’ems ” in the amusement section at the Waikato Winter Show will be found a tent in which Gunga KIIAN (note the name) is mystifying huge audiences with his miraculous feats. Gunga KHAN, the Hindu Miracle boy, possesses an uncanny gift of making objects appear from space and disappear in a similar manner, and no matter how one tries to fathom the many mysteries it appears that he manages to perform the impossible. The climax to his act finishes with a display of the Indian rope trick. In this trick he hypnotises a girl before the eyes of his audience, places her on the ground on top of a rope, and at his command the rope rises to the top of the tent with the girl lying on top of it! This in itself is miraculous but the miracle is not complete until GUNGA KHAN makes the rope disappear and the girl is suspended in mid-air with nothing to support her. Yes, it is absolutely true, and it is claimed that Gunga KHAN is the only person in the world to perform this remarkable feat. “ imitation is the sincerest form of flattery ” and in quoting this worldwide proverb the management who present Gunga KHAN at the Show desire to stress the fact that imitators arc operating on the grounds. Visitors, therefore, should be sure, if they desire to witness .the miracles above described, to visit the tent of Gunga KHAN, which is conspicuously signwritten and is located opposite the • Dodg’ems.” 35
