Driscoll, was disqualified by the Ballarat stewards for twel'e months. Dishonourable and improper practices were alleged against Uiscoll in connection with the running of Elegance in the steeplechase. EJegance, ridden by Driscoll, finished second to Testudo. Driscoll entered a protest against Testudo, which was dismissed. Mr K. Bones, ownertrainer of EJegance, was exonerated.
