EIGHTEEN-FOOTER RACES

BAD FEELING IN DOMINION COMMENT BY MANAGER ALLEGED POOR SPORTSMANSHIP (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received March 1, 3.15 pxn.) SYDNEY, March 1 Mr F. Empson, manager of the Australian eighteen-footer yacht team in New Zealand, in his report to the New South Wales Eighteen-footers’ League, said: “It was a pity that the New Zealand skippers, who caused the little bad feeling by what we thought was poor sportsmanship in protesting, were allowed to gel away with it to a certain extent, as this was the only discordant note throughout the tour.”

Mr Empson recommended the continuation of the races against New Zealand.
