PLUNKET FAIR
ANNUAL APPEAL FOR FUNDS Plunket Day at Hamilton falls on Friday, and preparations are now in train for the annual fair. Stalls selling produce, needlework, novelties, etc., will be erected at the rear of the Hamilton Library. No one can deny that of claims on the public tiie Plunket Society has at all times been one of the greatest. Its splendid work is too well known to further elaborate on, but that very fact should bring home to people the justness of the claims on the public which will be made on Friday. Work of incalculable value to mothers and their infants is quietly and efficiently performed day after day by the society's nurses, and since it is largely carried on by voluntary subscriptions a hearty response from the public is necessary for the continuation of essential services.
