GARDEN PLACE REMOVAL HON R SEMPLE’S COMMENTS ♦ “It is an admirable proposal and is being well carried out,” said the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, after inspecting the Garden Place removal scheme this afiernoon. “Up-to-date machinery is being used and that makes a great deal of difference to the job. “The scheme will turn a place which was formerly of no value into wonderful building sites and should have a great effect on the prosperity of the town.”
