DAHLIA SHOW

HAMILTON SOCIETY’S EVENT The Hamilton Horticultural Society will hold its autumn show at the Alexandra Hall on Thursday and Friday. The -Waikato is famed for its high-class dahlia blooms and exhibits of outstanding merit will be staged. A wide range of classes i* provided for, ranging from novice, intermediate to senior, amateur and open, so competition in each section should be keen. in addition to the dahlia entries there will be cut flowers, decorative work and fruit and vegetables, while children’s exhibits are also included. An interesting feature will lie the competition lor the Women's Institute Shield and some ,d tractive displays will he staged. The gardening circle of tlie Waikato Lyceum Club will again stage a beautiful exhibit. The show will be opened by the Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro, on Thursday at 2.30 p.m.
