PERSONAL
The Hon. W. Lee Martin, Minister of Agriculture, is visiting his electorate and will be in Huntly with the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, to-morrow. The Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Labour, left Auckland yesterday for Russell, where hopes to enjoy deepsea fishing for a day or so before inspecting mining activities in the north. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, who has been touring North Auckland, will arrive in the Waikato to-night and to-morrow he will officially open the new Huntly waterworks scheme. 'Hie Hon. P. Fraser, Minister ot Education, passed through Hamilton this morning on his way to Auckland from Rotorua. He opened the new biology block at Auckland University College and will leave by road for Wellington to-morrow. The Mayor, Mr H. D. Caro, is visiting Auckland to-day. Mr B. K. Tighe, of Eire, is visiting Hamilton. Mr J. H. Kinnear, of Auckland, was in Hamilton over the week-end. •Captain J. W. McLemi, of New Plymouth, has been appointed bandmaster of the Palmerston North Silver Band. General R. A. Voruz, a distinguished French officer, arrived in Auckland by the Mataroa on Saturday for a holiday in New Zealand. Messrs J. Lythgoe (Hawera), S. Trotter Greymouth), D. Herbert, B. Westmoreland Masterton), M. Williamson, P. Trainer, F. Petchell, S. Clark, D. L. Ellis, S. C. Shea (Auckland), G. Richardson (Gisborne), J. Ambler, D. H. Dyer, B. Burton, G. Robins (Wellington), G. J. Howell, C. M. White and P. Guest (Christchurch) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
