EIGHT-OAR CONTEST OTAGO BEATS SOUTHLAND (By Telegraph.—Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sunday An inter-provincial eight-oar rare for the Edmond Cup, between Otago and Southland, was rowed at Port Chalmers this morning and was won comfortably by Otago by U lengths. A light north-easterly wind was blowing and conditions were good. The course was slightly over 1* miles. Otago was the holder of the shield.
