AUCKLAND HARBOUR RACE (Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Monday A fine swimming performance was put up yesterday morning by P. E. Mathieson in winning from scratch the annual harbour race of 1£ miles from Chelsea Wharf to Shelly Beach for the Molloy Shield. He took 43m 395, thus also gaining the trophy for fastest time. Copyright) COPENHAGEN, Feb. 25 Miss Ragnliild Hveger, the champion Danish swimmer, created a world's record for the women’s 500 metres free-style, her time being 6rn 34 3-10 s.
