JOLLY FUNCTION

FAREWELL AT TIRAU A pleasant farewell evening was spent by the many friends of Mr and Mrs Nelson Thomas at their residence at Tirau recently on the eve of their departure for Tauranga. Opportunity was taken by Mr N. Horscroft to make a presentation of a fountain pen to Mr Thomas on behalf of his staff. During the evening speeches were made by Mr S. J. Bear, Mr Horscroft, Mr Mark Harrison and Mr Morse. Music was supplied by Mr H. F. Morse, on his accordion, and items were given by Messrs H. Wine, J. Batley, T. Sleenan and Bear.
