Copyright (Received Feb. 25, 3.15 p.m.) PARIS, Feb. 24 The Chamber of Deputies passed a vote of confidence in the Government by 323 to 2GI votes. M. Daladier announced that France had been officially advised by Britain on February 22 that the hour had come to recognise General Franco and the moment should not be allowed to slip. He added that he believed that Britain has determined to recognise General Franco next week. “On her frontiers France contacts •General Franco’s Government,” said M. Daladier. “That Is Why I consider that France should have neighbourly relations with the real Spanish Government. Don Azana, the President, * has long considered that the struggle is hopeless and his advice to Dr. Negrin is to conclude peace. “Thanks to collaboration with Britain France can pursue a policy of generosity and watch over the maintenance of Spains Independence. We have big Spanish interests, and particularly from the viewpoint of international policy must have a representative in Nationalist Spain. National security demands iL “I consider that this year peace must be defended with vigilance. I am determined that Franco shall not be Isolated In Spanish affairs any more than elsewhere throughout the world. This policy I will defend regardless of politics. BURGOS, Feb. 24 Rebel troops found in a gully near the frontier 42 corpses, including an unidentified bishop, also Colonel Rey Harcourt, rebel commander at TerucL who surrendered to the loyalists, also four canons and two priests. The rebels believe that the loyalists shot them while taking them through Catalonia in the course of the retreat.
