The Hon. P. C. Webb, Minister of Labour, was engaged yesterday in Auckland on departmental business. He expects to leave by motor-car tomorrow morning for the north. The Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works, inspected road works in Ilokianca yesterday. He will motor from Oponon to Auckland to-day, inspecting the Waiapoua and Trounsen Forests en route and receiving deputations at Dargaville. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. W. Lee Martin, who arrived in Hamilton yesterday for the field day at Ruakura, is visiting Te Aroha today. On Monday he will visit the Raglan electorate and on Tuesday he will visit Huptly with the Hon. R. Semple, Minister of Public Works. It is expected that Mr Lee Martin will leave Hamilton for Wellington again on Tuesday evening. Commissioner F. Adams, Wellington, of the Salvation Army, is visiting Hamilton. Messrs G. G. Pierson, R. H. Rowland M. M. Lawson and C. Marsh (Auckland) are at the Hamilton Hotel. The Rt. Rev. H. St. B. Holland, Anglican Bishop of Wellington, is to enter a private hospital to undergo an operation. Mr V. A. Coyle, president of the New Zealand Federated Builders and Contractors’ Association, left Hamilton last evening for Auckland. Mr G. Hagen has resigned from the agency staff of the Australian Mutual Provident Society to accept the position of managing director of Duroboards, Limited, Frankton. Mi* L. A. Andrews, of Hamilton, was elected a member of the executive of the New Zealand Institute of Opticians at the annual conference in Wellington yesterday. Mr W. A. Petrie, immediate pastpresident of the New Zealand Federated Builders and Contractors’ Association left Hamilton last evening for Timaru. The Rev. C. T.
