Miss Riro Brewis, Hamilton, has returned from a holiday spent at Waiheke Island.

Misses Errol Cropper, Patsy Robertson and Joyce Key-Jones, all of Auckland, are the guests of Mrs 0. R. Farrer, Claudelands.

Mrs E. C. Brewis, who has been visiting Christchurch, will return to Hamilton early next week.

Mrs A. Howden, of Pembroke Street. Hamilton, left by the Awatea en route to England and the Continent.

Mrs A. English, Hamilton, will return during the week-end from a touring holiday.

Miss Jocelyn Howe, who has been holidaying in Raglan, has returned to Hamilton.

Miss Rita Holmes, who has been visiting Mrs F. W W. Hubbard, Hamilton, has returned to Dunedin.

Mrs R. L. McElroy, Feilding, has arrived in Hamilton to reside permanently with her son Dr McElroy, of the Ruakura State Farm.

Miss Barbara Nolan. Papatoetoe, is visiting Hamilton and is the guest of Mrs 0. R. Farrer, Claudelands.

Mrs T. W. Cullinane, who has been visiting her mother, Mrs G. E. Buckland, returned to Wellington last evening.

Miss Elsie Thompson leaves Hamilton to-day for Auckland, where she will make her home in future.

Mrs J. Crosby, who has been visiting Hamilton, has returned to Tuhua.

Miss L. C. Barkley, Hamilton, who has been visiting friends in Balclutha, is returning to Christchurch through Central Otago.

Mrs E. Garrett has returned to Hamilton after an extended motor tour of the North Island.

Miss E. Graham, South Westland, is on a visit to Hamilton, Rotorua and Auckland. • • • • Nurse E. Gray, Wellington, is visiting old friends in Hamilton. Mrs K. Jenkins, Hamilton, is visiting Auckland, and is the guest of her sister, Mrs F. Bellamy. Mrs T. R. McCarthy, Te Puke, is the guest of her sister, Mrs A. H. Guinness, Hamilton. ■» * • • Mrs H. Baird and Miss Marie Libeau, Matangi, are spending a holiday at Te Kauwhata. • * * • Mrs A. Jamieson, Matangi, has returned from a holiday in Wellington. Visitors to New Plymouth from Hamilton with the South Auckland bowlers are Mesdames T. Qualtrough, L. Wells, Cooper, J. Cooney, J. S. Anchor and J. Old. • * • • Miss Rona Davis, Te Awamutu, is spending a holiday with Mrs G. Lewis, Eltham Road. Dr. Mary Thornton, Melbourne, has been elected a Fellow of the British Association of Radiologists for her original work on the radiological aspects of metastases of cancer. She is the first woman in Australia and New Zealand to obtain this distinction. Dr. Thornton was the radiologist at the Wanganui Public Hospital during 1936-37. Prior to coming to Wanganui she held a similar position at Dunedin. NGARUAWAHIA Mrs G. B. Isdale and Miss Margaret Isdale have left for Dunedin, where Miss Isdale will enter the Otago University. ’*• • • Miss M. Rayner will leave shortly on a visit to Australia. Miss Amy Dwight, Auckland, Is spending a holiday in Ngaruawahia as the guest of Mrs J. Robson. CAMBRIDGE Mrs Gordon Vosper has returned to "Dingley Dell,” after spending a holiday at Waihi Beach.

Mrs Elmsley, Devonport, is visiting Mrs S. Armstrong. * * * * Miss E. Swayne has returned to Whangarei after visiting her mother, Mrs R. Swayne. • * * • Mrs E. Havell, Mrs Hubard and Miss Hawkes, all of Auckland, are guests at “Abergeldie.” • * * • Miss Olwyn Taylor, who has been visiting Auckland as the guest of Mrs Abbot, Remuera, returns to Cambridge during the week-end. • * * • Mrs Stanley Haines is a week-end visitor to Auckland.
