OKOROIRE PARTY

KITCHEN EVENING Miss Miri Penetito, who is shortly to be married, was the guest-of-honour at a delightful kitchen evening held in the Okoroire Hall - this week. The evening took the form of a dance and there was a large and representative gathering of local residents present. During the evening, Mr Colin Campbell expressed the good wishes of those present and asked the guest-of-honour to accept the many gift parcels. In conclusion the speaker wished Miss Penetito every happiness in her new home. Music for the dancing was played by Mrs T. Cotter, extras being given by Mrs J. McLaren. Miss Miri Penetito wore a becoming frock of burgundy cloque. Among those present were:—Mesdames J. Campbell, D. Wilson (TirauT, T. Cotter, J, McLaren, E. Gubb, D. O’Brian, K. Wharapu, M. Penetito, H.
