COUNTRY SCHOOLS ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED Arrangements have been completed , for the conducting of the Learn-to-Swim Week amongst country schools in the Waikato, commencing*on Monday. j The schools will be grouped as I follows: I A—Eureka. Puketaha, Ngahinapouri, i Rukuhia. R—Ohau-po, Piako Road, : Horsham Downs. Koromatua. C Whatawhata. D—Newstead. j The schools will attend the Hamilton Municipal Baths as follows: Monday—9-10. Diocesan girls; 1011, A boys; 11-12, A girls; 1-2 A boys; 2-3, A girls. Tuesday—9-10. Diocesan girls; 10-H. B boys; 11-12, B girls; 1-2, B boys; 2-3, B girls. Wednesday—9-10, Diocesan girls; 10-11. A boys: 11-12, A girls; 1-2, A boys; 2-3, A girls. Thursday—9-10. Technical boys; 10-11. Technical boys: 11-12. Tech- : nieal boys; 1-2. HUNTLY CAMPAIGN 62 0 CHILDREN TAUGHT (Special to Times) HUNTLY, Friday. The learn-to-swim campaign at Iluntly Is in full swing and during the week 62 0 children in the Raglan county have received instruction in swimming, 40 0 being taught at the riverside reserve at Huntly North. School pupils from Huntly District High School, St. Anthony’s Convent School and Taupiri, Kimihia, Waikokowai, Rotowaro, Ohinewai, Rangiriri, Te Kauwhata and Pukokapia schools have been receiving instruction, but shortage or transport has prevented many more from participating. The instructor, Mr C. K. Blackmore, had the assistance of Mrs J. Brook and J ten senior schoolgirls. The swimming campaign will conclude ! to-morrow with swimming certificate trials at Wilson’s Landing, HuntJy South, between the hours or 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., when 25 yards to 880 yard* will be competed for. In the afternoon a life-saving demonstration will be given by the Iluntly Girls’ Life-saving Club at 2 p.m.
