WAIKATO PIONEER
89TH BIRTHDAY TO-DAY FIVE GENERATIONS ALIVE (Special to Times) MORRINSVILLE, Saturday Mrs Eliza Bew, who has resided in the Waikato for the past 64 years, celebrated her 89th birthday to-day For the past 14 years she has resided with her daughter, Mrs W. Innes, on the Te Aroha-Plamilton main road at Tatuanui.
Mrs Bew’ is proud of the fact that there are “five generations of girls” in her family. Her only surviving daughter is Mrs W. Inness, of Tatuanui who has a daughter, Mrs H. Williams, of Te Aroha West, a granddaughter, Mrs S. Hines, of Te Aroha West, and there is little Lavine Hines, aged just one year. Mrs Bew’ has six other great-great-grandchildren. Mrs Bew and her husband came to New Zealand 64 years ago and lived for many years at Hamilton and later at Te Aroha.
