SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION
HINUERA BASKETBALL CLUB The annual dance of the Hinuera Basketball Club was a most suc-cess-ful and enjoyable, function. A large number of dancers from Matamata, Tirau. Waharoa, Okoroire and surrounding districts attended, and a happy spirit prevailed throughout the evening. The two novelty dances were won by Miss T. Chilton and Mr N. Gubb, and Miss M. Schwarz and Mr T. Ryan. Among those present were:—Mesdames T. Cotter, flame ‘affeta; A. j Hawke, navy sheer; N. Pond, blue and pink tunic frock; H. Sampson, floral romaine; G. Ryan, black floral shot taffeta; Madge Harray (Te Poi), floral peasant frock: Jean Carruth, floral crepe-de-chine; Mavis Hawke, brown trevark, floral trimmings; Molly Barron, purple net; Muriel Cook, navy , embossed taffeta; L. Ryan, red crepe charmeuse; M. Were, floral crepe-de-chine; B. Price (Piarere), rose pink net: Liane Scelly, navy and while spotted sheer: J. Holwell Tirau . Ice blue taffeta; 1.
