DANCE AT CAMBRIDGE

TWENTY-FIRST C',F.VHiAY PAH. Congratulations and good wishes were proffered on all sides when Miss Joyce Lewis celebrated her coming-of-uge on Tuesday at a deFghtfu! dance arranged by her parents, Mr and Mrs S. Lewis, of Cambridge. A scene of enchantment presented itself to the guests on their arrival at “Gowanbank,” the residence of Mr and Mrs Lewis, where lhe garden was dimly iiluTninated with the glow of coloured Chinese lanterns. Within the house, where the guests danced in the spacious lounge and sitting room, large bowls of hydrangeas and dahlias decorated the mantlepieces. A bowl of pastel pink rose buds, dahlias and carnations, arranged with blue delphiniums, lent an artistic note to the supper table, while dainty posy bowls of similar flowers surrounded a largo iced birthday cake. The toast of the guest-of-honour was proposed by Mr D. J. Lundon, Mr S. Lewis responding. The guests were received by Mrs Lewis, who was wearing a gown of clover red lame woven in gold, while Miss Joyce Lewis wore a frock of while organza, satin-striped in blue. The guests were:—Mrs D. J.
