Six applieaions for inclusion in the party received )y the Waikato branch were forwarded to Wellington. Headquarters forwarded a circular pointing out that the New Zealand Disibled Soldiers' Welfare Association had 10 connection with the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association and that the latter were not concerned with the ippeal of the Welfare Association for funds. Messrs R. E. Conradi and V. R. Crowrrnrst were reported to be making arrangements for the branch’s annual bowling tournament. Speeding in Trucks Two truck-drivers appeared before Mr S. L. Paterson. S.M.. in the Magistrate's Court, Hamilton, to-day charged with exceeding the speed limit for heavy vehicles, Inspector G. G. Winter prosecuting in each case. Bruce Allen Nickalis. of Tirau, was fined £2 and costs for speeding on t'.c Cambridgc-llamilton Rond and WalHr William O'Hearn, of Taupiri. was fined £5 and costs for a similar offence on the Taupiri-Orini Road. CViloarn, stated Inspector Winter, had previously been warned against spcecung.
