TOUR OF SPECIAL AREAS EXPANSION OF INDUSTRY OPENING OF FACTORIES (Official Wireless) (Received Feb. 23. 11.30 a.m.) RUGBY. Feb. 22 Their Majesties devoted the greater part of this morning to a tour of special areas in the Tyneside and north-east-ern district. They paid an extended visit to the Team Valley trading estate, outside Newcastle, where encouragement has been given to the establishment of light industries.

Since the development of the site began in October. 1936. a considerable number of factories have been established, employed over 2000 men.
