JOLLY EVENING

COMING-OF-AGE PARTY A pleasant evening was spent at lona Cabaret recently, when Mr and Mrs J. Pooley, of Wainui, Raglan, held a party in honour of the cotning-of-age of their eldest son, George. Dancing formed the greater part of the entertainment, music being supplied by Giimour’s Orchestra. During the supper interval Mr James Pooley welcomed his guests and after presenting his son with a key, invited him to cut the cake, which had been beautifully decorated by Mrs R. Cowley, Wainui. Mr George Pooley suitably responded. The novelty dance was won by Mrs W. Tait and Mr J. B. Jackson. Among those present were:—Mesdames J. Pooley, figured silk marocain: G. W.
