Deceased slackened speed after this but when rounding a corner near the Waimakariri Stream bridge a • tyre burst and the machine swer- | ved to the right. Constable T. J. Cotter, of Putaruru. i said when he arrived at the scene of the accident deceased was lyinp on ] the road unconscious. He was later ; taken to the Waikato Hospital where j he died four days later. The inquest was adjourned to j Hamilton for the purpose of hearing 1 the evidence of Dr. J. K. F. Watson, of the Waikato Hospital.
