NEW FLYING BOAT

SERVICE ACROSS TASMAN LAUNCHING IN ENGLAND (Received Feb. 22, 12.30 p.m.) LONDON Feb. 21 The Aotearoa, which is the first of the flying-boats for the Tasman service, w’as launched on the Medway for trial flights this week. It will be followed quickly by the Australia and the .Vwarua, each of which will have a range of 200 miles and will carry 17 passengers and mails. hTe loaded weight will be 46,000 lbs, compared with the 40,500 lbs of the ordinary Empire flyingboats.
