POLICE INQUIRIES BOY’S SEVERE INJURIES. (By Tele&rapti.—Press Association) WHAN CARET, Tuesday Brought, into tlie Rawene Hospital on Sunday evening suffering from head injuries, a 13 year-old Maori hoy, Waka Hamilton* 4* d yesterday morning. The b< j *as taken to hospital from the farm of 1 1 is uncle, Mr Paul Hadfield, of Waimamaku, by a neighbouring farmer, Mr W. Field, soon after the injuries had been received. An inquest was opened to-day before the district coroner, Mr A. Andrews. at. Rawene, but was adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken. An investigation into the case is being carried on by the Rawene police, assisted by Detective J. Findlay, of Whangarei.
