FIRE AT KAIPAKI
8-ROOMED HOUSE DESTROYED TWO SHAREMILKERS’ LOSS (Special to Times) CAMBRIDGE, Tuesday An eight-roomed house at KaipakL occupied by two families who are sharemilking for Messrs McEidowney Bros., owners of the property, w-ss destroyed by Are on Sunday eveaing. A hurried escape was made irom the building, which burned fiercely, and several of the children had to be rescued through a window, as the doorway «*» blocked by hit. The occupants retired at Si pjn. and two hours later they were awakened to find the building well alight and it was impossible to save anything. Mr (j. R. Shaw, one of the occupants. had his furniture insured ii.r i'fiHi, but the other, Mr S. L. Craw l ord, had no cover on his belongings The house was insured for £3OO.
